2017 Recipient of the Joseph Cardinal Bernardin Humanitarian Award in Entertainment
Diva Montell
I, as a Chicago area vocalist, have spent my entire life as an entertainer. VERSATILITY best describes me as a vocalist. From Sarah Brightman, Celine Dion, Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, all the way to Ann Wilson, as a trained opera singer I have not decided what I love more... so I do it all.
Because of my versatility, I have had the opportunity to share the stage with:
KC & The Sunshine Band: I sang Disco/Dance selections as an Opener for KC & The Sunshine Band at Arcada Theatre.
The Jersey Boys: I shared the stage with The Jersey Boys in Milwaukee, WI
The Bronx Wanderers: I have shared the stage in Hoboken, NJ with The Bronx Wanderers and many other concert performances aside this popular New York Band.
Michael Bolton: I opened for Michael Bolton’s 2013 Christmas Show at Arcada/Chicago
The Legendary Drifters: I sang Motown and Disco favorites while sharing the stage with The Legendary Drifters.
IL Volo: At The Chicago Theatre, For Operatic Trio Sensation, IL Volo, I was able to sing beautiful Operatic Arias as well as two originals, written especially for me by composer Scott Popelka: Voodoo and When Sorry’s Not Enough from my debut’ original album “The Way” by the band Diva’s Crossing.
